I use it almost everyday, so, it's pretty nice to see it get better. This might sound a little stupid, sorry: I have Pocket Casts set as an independent window of Chrome (via the "Add to Desktop" function), so there's no browser chrome to speak of, which left me a little befuddled while browsing the podcast networks in the discovery section: I got into Relay's section but then I couldn't find a back button to return, after a second or two I remembered the hotkey and managed to get back to the Discovery page.įinally, I really wanted to thank you all for the work you put into making this. Though, that might be because I'm only using the webplayer, perhaps? The listening stats don't seem to work (at least for me). I need to add that the animations while dragging elements in the Up Next thingy are a delight to see. They new UI looks (and moves) incredible. You guys did an amazing job with the new web player! My first impressions: So log in, play around and tell us what you think! I mean we're not at Apple levels of secrecy or anything but we'd like to keep a lid on things for now :) Please don't share screenshots or details of the beta just yet. There's a Mac companion app that goes with it available here: įeel free to report any bugs you find here, or through the feedback button in the player itself Slowly, very slowly, Pocket Casts is starting to add back features that were removed in the big move to v7.Version 7.6, which is now in beta, implements more of these improvements, notably. It's open only to people who have paid for the web app It's a beta so it's not fully finished and it might occasionally break Previously only friends, family and a few of our mobile beta testers were allowed in, but now we're opening the door to anyone on this subreddit as well. That's right, version 2.0 of the Web Player has now entered a slightly less exclusive beta period. I know a lot of you have been asking about this for a while now, so I think it's time to finally lift the lid on something we've been working on.
